The Hygienist is responsible for providing prophylactic oral health care services to patients in private practices and corporate offices. A Hygienist must be thorough, professional and detail oriented and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Read x-rays and images. Perform more procedures than other hygienists. Educate patients about oral hygiene and the importance of dental visits. Teach patients how to care for their teeth. Perform basic dental procedures like teeth cleanings and fillings. Be an expert on topics related to oral health care like the importance of bathing and brushing teeth twice daily.
