Position Summary We are seeking a licensed, detail-oriented, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a dental professional who is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care while benefiting from a structured yet flexible schedule. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting oral health, preventing dental disease, and enhancing the overall patient experience. Strong communication skills, clinical proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Work Schedule This position offers a consistent yet flexible weekly schedule: Start time in office will be 15 minutes prior to patientâs appointment Mondays: 10:00 AM â 6:00 PM (including a one-hour lunch break) Thursdays: 9:00 AM â 2:00 PM Every 4th Saturday of the month : 8:30 AM-2PM Note: The office is closed on Saturdays during July and August Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing procedures Conducting comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and documentation Exposing and processing dental radiographs in compliance with regulatory standards Educating patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and overall oral health maintenance Collaborating with the dentist on diagnosis, treatment planning, and case presentation Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records Adhering strictly to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols Delivering a positive and comfortable patient experience through excellent chairside manner Staying current with industry best practices, continuing education, and advancements in dental hygiene Qualifications and Requirements Active and valid Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program (Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree required) Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and patient care standards Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills Proven ability to manage time effectively and work in a team-oriented environment High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail Experience placing sealants and administering fluoride treatments required Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 14.0 â 20.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Language: Spanish (Preferred) Work Location: In person
