Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence Provide dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and periodontal assessments Perform comprehensive periodontal charting and oral health evaluations Take digital radiographs, intraoral images, and intraoral scans Screen for oral pathology and communicate findings with the doctor Patient Education Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and home care Help patients understand the connection between oral health and overall health Support treatment acceptance through clear communication and patient trust Clinical Collaboration Work closely with the doctor and team to support comprehensive treatment planning Identify areas of concern and communicate findings clearly Assist in maintaining smooth and efficient appointment flow Practice Standards & Compliance Follow infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records Ensure treatment rooms are prepared, organized, and efficient Team Contribution Contribute to a positive and professional team culture Support practice systems and clinical efficiency Help build a hygiene department focused on excellence and patient experience Required Qualifications Active Dental Hygienist license in South Carolina CPR certification Strong knowledge of periodontal disease, prevention, and hygiene protocols Experience with digital radiography and electronic patient records Excellent patient communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in a comprehensive or cosmetic dental practice Strong understanding of periodontal therapy and patient education Experience with digital dentistry technology Experience building long-term patient relationships The Ideal Candidate Takes pride in delivering excellent patient care Organized, thorough, and detail-oriented Builds trust easily with patients Thrives in a team-oriented, high-performance environment Excited about helping build a growing practice from the ground up Benefits Competitive compensation Paid time off Paid holidays Continuing education opportunities Supportive team environment Modern technology and systems Join the Founding Team Evelina Smiles is building a practice known for exceptional dentistry, strong systems, and a positive team culture.
