Registered Dental Hygienist - Dental Park - Manitowoc, WI

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and applying fluoride treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Review documentation for accuracy, including medical coding and medical terminology entries in electronic medical records (EMR systems). Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing compassionate care tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings is highly preferred. Skilled in chairside assisting, including taking vital signs and medical imaging procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review processes. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring they feel safe and cared for. Knowledge of medical records management, medical coding, and EMR systems integration. Demonstrated ability to perform with professionalism and attention to detail.
