Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Waipahu, HI
We are looking for a warm, highly social, goal-oriented dental hygienist to join our team for a part-time position. The ideal candidate would be a team player who is able to engage and educate patients and cares deeply about patients' oral health as it relates to whole body health. Duties: -Record patient vital signs and update medical history -Operate x-ray equipment with proper safety precautions -Chart existing conditions and document doctor's recommendations -Identify different oral hygiene needs of individual patients -Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal care and post-op instructions -Collect saliva samples for bacterial DNA analysis -Perform hygiene & nonsurgical periodontal procedures -Apply sealants and topical fluoride -Assist with identifying and educating patients on restorative treatment needs, including taking intraoral photos Our office utilizes Carestack software, DEXIS sensors, and intraoral cameras. We have a strong perio protocol, and our team is more than willing to support training the right person.
