Performs all functions as permitted by the Dental Board of California for a Registered Dental Hygienist Performs ancillary functions of dental assisting, as needed, including but not limited to: -Assists the doctor in procedures as needed -Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays -Prophy’s teeth -Instructs patients on oral hygiene -Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor -Sterilizes instruments Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: Certification for a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Active NM Dental Hygiene License Current BLS certification
