Responsibilities Perform comprehensive endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, retreatments, and apicoectomies, utilizing aseptic techniques and advanced dental technology. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize patient comfort and long-term oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging such as medical imaging scans. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Educate patients on their treatment options, procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance to foster informed decision-making. Adhere strictly to infection control standards and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment. Stay current with advancements in endodontics, dental terminology, and related fields such as prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry through ongoing professional development. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure to practice dentistry; certification in endodontics is highly preferred. Proven experience in dental office settings or dental clinics with a focus on endodontic procedures. Proficiency or familiarity with dental software systems such as EZ2000 or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques relevant to endodontic practice. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while communicating complex information clearly. Familiarity with dental fabrication processes for restorations post-treatment is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient flow.
