Duties Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations, including patient assessment and diagnosis of malocclusions and jaw discrepancies Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing the latest orthodontic techniques and appliances such as braces, aligners, and retainers Perform orthodontic procedures with precision, including adjustments, appliance placements, and modifications to ensure optimal results Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including referrals for oral surgery or pediatric dentistry as needed Maintain accurate medical documentation, dental records, and treatment progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices related to orthodontic appliances and overall dental health Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques during all procedures Skills Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to orthodontics Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and root canal therapy as they relate to comprehensive orthodontic care Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures Experience with dental fabrication processes for custom appliances and appliances maintenance Ability to perform dental extractions when necessary within the scope of orthodontic treatment Knowledge of infection control standards and medical imaging techniques essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Join us if youâre passionate about transforming smiles through innovative orthodontic solutions!
