Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records , treatment plans , progress notes and documentation. Maintain strict infection control protocols. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote informed decision-making. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment preferred. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory.
