Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant pediatric dental team. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, scheduling appointments and answering inquiries promptly Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Collect payments and perform medical billing and collection activities with accuracy using medical coding knowledge such as CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes Maintain accurate and organized patient records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Support clinic operations by managing medical office tasks including filing, data entry, documentation review, and appointment scheduling Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical or dental office setting, a bonus if you have experience with kids. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and 10-key typing skills Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or hospital experience is preferred; dental office experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Must be eligible to work in the United States Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support.
