Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled General Dentist to join our esteemed dental practice in Hoffman Estates. As a General Dentist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care, diagnosing oral health issues, and developing treatment plans that enhance patient well-being. Your expertise in various dental disciplines and commitment to patient satisfaction will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions with precision and professionalism. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental terminology to diagnose oral health conditions accurately. Utilize advanced dental software such as Eaglesoft to document medical records and manage patient information efficiently. Provide specialized treatments such as root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery when necessary. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and enhance patient comfort during procedures. Use medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis while demonstrating strong knowledge of anatomy and dental fabrication processes. Adhere to all legal requirements related to medical documentation, medical terminology, and dental office policies. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment with a focus on general dentistry. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, including working with pediatric patients and understanding their unique needs. Strong background in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and other restorative procedures. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging practices within a dental setting. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and experience providing care for children is preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
