Orthodontic Dental Assistant - AAL Management - Duncanville, TX

Full Time Pay $15 to $25 per hour Pay rate is based on experience and qualifications. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to support our doctors during orthodontic treatment days. This role includes chairside assisting, patient care, and supporting multiple locations as needed. When not traveling, the assistant will be based out of our Duncanville, TX office. If there are no scheduled orthodontic patients, the assistant is expected to support the team on general dentistry days at their home office. Travel typically includes trips to Seagoville and Dallas and averages about 4 days per month. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic treatment Assist the orthodontist during all procedures Anticipate the doctor's needs and next steps during treatment Placement and removal of arch wires and brackets Tooth preparation before bonding Take panoramic and cephalometric x rays and oral photographs Provide oral hygiene instructions Accurate computer charting Sterilization of chairs and instruments Complete lab tasks as assigned Train and support team members new to orthodontics Assist with general dentistry duties when orthodontic services are not scheduled Experience and Qualifications Previous orthodontic assisting experience required Excellent communication and customer service skills Bilingual Spanish and English preferred Familiar with Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Familiar with OSHA guidelines and sterilization protocols Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude Schedule and Travel Expectations This is a full time position. When not traveling, the assistant will work out of the Duncanville TX location. Travel to Seagoville and Dallas locations is required.
