Take medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for accuracy, update treatment notes, and assist with medical coding for insurance purposes. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols essential for safe practice. Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with children in a pediatric dental setting is highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medical imaging techniques, and general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
