Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Dental Assistant II and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic operations, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and providing compassionate service to diverse patient populations.. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and dental materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed. Assist dentist during various procedures such as restorations, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing efficient four-handed dentistry support. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment like 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) utilizing Eaglesoft to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and compliance. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and acting as a dental receptionist to enhance patient experience. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with EMR system Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral structures and medical terminology for accurate communication. Ability to perform medical imaging procedures with attention to detail using advanced equipment like 3D scanners. Excellent communication skills suitable for working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
