We are looking for a professional and reliable dental assistant to join our team! We are a small office in Overland Park and work very well together. **6 months-1 year of experience is required** Needing a Dental Assistant for Monday's 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Can add additional days if the candidate needs. We are happy to train the right person who has a good work ethic and attitude! Core Clinical Duties Prepare patients for dental exams and procedures Assist the dentist during treatments (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions) Hand instruments and materials to the dentist Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare instruments and equipment Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) Maintain and organize treatment rooms between patients Take dental impressions and pour up study models Record patient medical history and vital signs Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures Infection Control & Safety Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols Prepare and maintain sterilization logs Clean and disinfect operatories and common areas Properly dispose of hazardous or biohazardous waste Equipment & Inventory Management Maintain and stock treatment rooms Monitor supply inventory and place orders as needed Prepare materials such as cements, composites, or impression materials Job Types: Part-time Benefits: Continuing education credits Employee discount Flexible schedule Free parking Opportunities for advancement Professional development assistance Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: Free parking On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Safety equipment provided Work Location: In person
