Dental Assistant/Front Desk Professional - Connell Family Dentistry - New Orleans, LA

Overview: THIS IS NOT FOR A CHAIRSIDE DENTAL ASSISTANT POSITION. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Your duties will NOT be performing chairside dentistry but will be someone who can help with mostly hygiene as well as able to help remedial and routine front desk duties as needed. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization - Take excellent digital dental x-rays and intraoral camera photos - Perform dental charting and record patient information accurately - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions - Schedule patient appointments and enter treatment plans -Take excellent alginate impressions and pour models accurately - Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, verify insurance, greet patients arriving, and handling paperwork -Administer fluoride to hygiene patients -Perform Zoom whitening Skills: - Proficiency in dental coding and dental records management - Familiarity with dental terminology and dental systems - Must be able to provide EXCELLENT customer serivce. -Must be reliable, have a great positive attitude, take instructions and work well with other team members and do what is needed for the office to fun smooth and efficiently.
