We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene practices, patient care, and clinic operations. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventive care, and supporting overall patient well-being within a busy general dentistry environment. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs. Assist dentists during procedures with chairside support, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in Dentrix. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to uphold safety standards in the dental office. Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in dental hygiene within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including pediatrics. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and documentation review processes. Ability to perform medical coding related to dental procedures when necessary.
