Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, professional, compassionate, energetic and Experienced Dental Assistant to join our Family Practice! We are a patient driven practice that strives to live out our Core Values of Health, Integrity, Relationships and Excellence. We are looking for a remarkable assistant to grow our team. Duties Solid Chairside assisting skills including collecting vitals, reviewing medical history and updating doctors of changes. The candidate should be confident in reviewing pre and post operative instructions with the patient and have the ability to make the patient comfortable. Competent in chairside procedures including New Patient exams, fillings, crowns, endodontics, oral surgery and removable partial and dentures. The candidate will have a strong ability to anticipate the doctors need. Familiar with digital scanning and Cerec (or similar), milling crowns, and 3D printing. Take high quality digital x-rays and 3D images Follow strict guidelines for sterilzation and infection control and support in the set up and break down of operatories Self motivated, the candidate will have the ability to fill time when not chairside such as stocking, lab work, helping hygiene or supporting administrative team as needed Look ahead and keep doctors schedule organized and ensure cases are back or consent forms are completed prior to appointments. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, medical imaging, and using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical documentation standards. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital X-ray systems confidently. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on treatment plans and oral health practices. Certification in X-ray radiation safety or radiography is required. Certification to monitor Nitrous oxide is preferred but not necessary.
