The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental team and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards. Take medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring accurate positioning and exposure settings. Maintain patient records using dental software systems ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes as needed. Manage inventory of dental supplies. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA compliance. Experience with dental software system. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
