Responsibilities Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, utilizing evidence-based methods. Perform complex procedures such as dental implant placement, gum grafts, and pocket reduction surgeries with precision and care. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and radiographic analysis using medical imaging tools. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies. Educate patients on periodontal health maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and the importance of ongoing dental care. Collaborate with general dentists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans and ensure seamless patient experiences. Maintain medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure accurate medical records. Uphold strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques during all procedures to guarantee patient safety. Stay current with advancements in periodontology by engaging in continuous education and training. Skills Strong background in general dentistry principles alongside specialized skills in periodontics, including dental extractions and root canal therapy when necessary. Experience with dental fabrication techniques for prosthodontics related to implant restorations. Skilled in performing dental implant surgeries, soft tissue grafts, and other advanced periodontal procedures. Ability to deliver exceptional patient care through compassionate communication and detailed assessments. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within team.
