Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgeries. Assess patient needs through thorough examinations and medical/dental histories; develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Maintain precise medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Operate dental imaging equipment safely to obtain high-quality radiographs for diagnosis. Apply aseptic techniques rigorously to ensure infection control during all procedures. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Stay current with advances in dental technology and procedures by participating in ongoing education and training sessions. Ensure compliance with all health regulations including OSHA standards for infection prevention and safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Qualifications Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as a Dentist. Proven experience in general dentistry; additional expertise in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery is preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical records management. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively. Experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a focus on infection control and aseptic technique.
