The Ideal Candidate Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable Comfortable in a fast-pace, team-driven office Can-do attitude Dental certification is preferred Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Explain office procedures to patients before treatment Provide quality, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after dental treatment Manage patients during dental procedures and ensure their comfort Accurately chart existing dental conditions and record progress notes Provide patients with post-operative instructions following treatment or surgery Take dental impressions for study models Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments, supplies, and equipment Take and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health histories Serve as infection control officer: maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with infection control protocols Monitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipment Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning) Assist with ordering and inventory of dental supplies Support the clinic with recall and treatment plan reports as needed Adhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulations Provide direct patient care across multiple specialties including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry and oral surgery Qualifications Technical or college diploma Excellent chairside manner and strong communication skills Ability to multitask and adapt to different procedures and techniques Professional, dependable, and eager to grow Strong interpersonal and communication skills Customer service oriented with a professional demeanor Team player with reliable transportation Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred Requirements Willingness to travel between Cartersville, East Point and Hiram locations 509 N Tennessee St, Cartersville, GA 30120 2788 Bayard St, East Point, GA 30344 76 Highland Pavilion Ct, Hiram, GA 30141 Dental assisting experience in IV sedation and oral surgery Ability to work under pressure and strive for growth Commitment to following policies and procedures Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM (4 days per week - 32 guaranteed hours) Benefits Mileage reimbursement Full-time team members qualify for Medical, Dental, and Optical Insurance after 90 days Employee discount Unique opportunity to work in a multi-specialty practice Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Opportunities for Professional Growth Pay is based on experience
