Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Leland, MS
Dental Hygienist - LMC Reports to Office Manager SUMMARY: The Dental Hygienist will aid the Dentist and other members of the clinical team in providing dental services to patients. The DH may be asked to assist patients with completing intake paperwork, to assist with aspects of data collection, working closely with the research team, to consent patients, and providing counts of patients and services obtained. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene State license Minimum of 2 years of working as a dental hygienist Strong customer service skills Ability to stand for long periods of time Be able to lift at least 20 pounds at times ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Proper sterilization of dental instruments Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care Provide instruction to patients after dental procedures Take X-rays Assist Dentist with any duties as needed Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Schedule appointments for patients Monitor dental supplies Other duties as assigned.
