Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile tech/ Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sterile, dental assisting, with proficiency in various dental software and technologies. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Sterilize instruments, putting instruments away, cleaning / setting up rooms. Perform chairside assisting, including preparing instruments and materials for procedures. Take and develop X-rays, when needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems such as Open Dental:Dentrix Conduct vital signs assessments Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant. Proficiency in using EMR ; familiarity with Open Dental is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and documentation practices. Experience with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technologies is advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Previous experience in a dental clinic environment is highly desirable.
