Job Title : Dental Assistant - Pediatric Position Type : Temp-to-perm. Part-time – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturday. Possibility to transition to full-time. Location : Pilsen, Chicago, IL Start Date : May 1, 2026 Practice Type: Pediatric Dentistry (& General Dentistry) We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric (and general) dental office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and families while delivering high-quality clinical support in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The person who fulfills this role will work mostly with the Pediatric Dentist, but must be flexible to assist the General Dentist on select days when support is needed. Responsibilities: -Chairside assisting for pediatric dentistry procedures and sometimes general dentistry procedures -Perform coronal polishing in accordance with certification and state guidelines -Prepare treatment rooms and instruments, including proper sterilization and infection control -Assist with sealants, restorations, extractions, and pediatric behavior management techniques -Take and process digital radiographs -Support dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry -Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-operative instructions -Maintain accurate clinical notes in the patient chart -Help create a calm, welcoming, and positive experience for pediatric patients and their families -Assist with operatory turnover and daily clinical flow Required Qualifications: -Active Dental Assistant experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry -Coronal polishing certification – required -Strong communication skills and a warm, child-friendly demeanor -Ability to work efficiently in a team-based clinical environment - Proficient in spoken English and Spanish.
