Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including direct restorative procedures, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, placement of restorations, and other delegated clinical tasks in accordance with state regulations and practice policies Operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining proper aseptic techniques Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) â Eaglesoft â ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding in compliance with HIPAA standards Take vital signs and medical histories to support comprehensive patient assessments Maintain infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene in the dental clinic Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with experience in chairside assisting for general dentistry and pediatric dentistry Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Experience using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, for medical documentation and records management Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging, and medical coding processes relevant to dental care Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and efficiently in a clinical setting Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
