## About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team every Friday on a temp/ongoing basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
You’ll work directly alongside our surgeon, supporting a full range of oral surgical procedures including implant placements and extractions — keeping the day running smoothly from the first patient to the last.

## What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist the surgeon chairside during surgical procedures, including **tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, and implant placement**
- Take and process **panoramic (PANO) and periapical (PA) radiographs** with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and organize surgical trays, instruments, and materials prior to each procedure
- Review and discuss **pre-operative and post-operative instructions** with patients in a clear, confident, and compassionate manner
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure full OSHA/infection control compliance throughout the day
- Support patient flow by coordinating with front office and clinical team as needed
- Document clinical notes and radiographic findings accurately in the patient chart

## What We’re Looking For
- **Current RDA or DA license** in the state of California (RDA preferred)
- **Radiation certification** required — must be proficient in PANO and PA imaging
- Prior surgical assisting experience strongly preferred (implants, extractions, oral surgery)
- Comfortable with pre- and post-op patient education
- Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and a true team player
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
