Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and will play a crucial role in assisting hygienist's during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and familiarity with dental software systems. Responsibilities Assist hygienist's during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment. Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures. Monitor and record vital signs as needed before treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Dentrix. Knowledge of dental terminology Experience in dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity with general dentistry practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while utilizing aseptic techniques. Experience with medical imaging Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental clinic environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with Dental coding, records management, and documentation processes is beneficial.
