Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing outstanding customer service at the front desk. Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software Dentrix Ascend, ensuring efficient flow of patient visits. Verify insurance coverage and benefits; explain coverage details to patients clearly. Maintain accurate and organized medical records, including documentation review and health information management in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries promptly. Assist with intake procedures, documentation, and updating patient information in Dentrix Ascend. Support office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), insurance verification, and general clerical duties to keep the front office running smoothly. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role within a clinic or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and coding standards. Familiarity Dentrix Ascend. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software. Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations through meticulous documentation review and health information management. Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with insurance verification processes is essential. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records.
