*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for helping others. *Responsibilities* - Assist the dentist during various procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and pediatrics. - Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. - Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols for infection control. - Record vital signs and patient medical history accurately in the system. - Perform medical coding for insurance purposes, ensuring compliance with regulations. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments. - Utilize dental software systems such as Epic and Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping. *Qualifications* - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. - Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures is essential. - Familiarity with dental software systems (Epic, Eaglesoft) is a plus. - Ability to take vital signs and understand medical coding practices. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. - A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
