Dental Assistant - Lara-Grimaldi Dental and Orthodontics - San Francisco, CA

Overview We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Dental Assistant that is seeking a long term career in the dental field and wants to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit. This position requires completion of an infection control course. We are happy to fully train a motivated candidate. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing chairside support. Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage the sterilization of instruments and ensure adherence to infection control protocols. Utilize EMR systems, including Dentrix, for efficient patient management. Conduct preliminary assessments such as taking vital signs and documenting medical history. Operate 3D scanners and assist in prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures. Provide assistance with dental receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling appointments. Resume with a stable work history is a plus Skills Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental assisting Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental clinic setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Previous experience in chairside assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
