Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through aseptic techniques. Provide support in pediatric dentistry by adapting care techniques for younger patients. Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry practices and incorporate them into patient care. Requirements Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge related to oral health and disease prevention. Strong skills in documentation review to maintain accurate patient records. Ability to assist with various dental procedures while maintaining patient comfort. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus, with an ability to engage young patients effectively. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
