We can help train a new graduate to be able to work with 3 of our dentists and help our team of experienced assistants to deliver fantastic care. Duties Assist dentists with chairside procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical documentation accuracy Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, ensuring precise data entry and recordkeeping Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to assist in comprehensive patient evaluations Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures Assist with administrative tasks including medical coding, updating medical documentation, and managing insurance claims as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential for efficient patient management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures including prosthodontics and endodontics enhances your effectiveness in this role Familiarity with X-ray techniques, medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners, and infection control practices is required Experience supporting four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care flow is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards ensures compliance at all times Certification in dental assisting or relevant training programs is preferred; ongoing education in pediatric dentistry or related specialties is a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly contribute to healthier smiles!
