Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, to accurately diagnose oral health issues. Perform various dental procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care. Utilize dental imaging techniques and interpret results to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices for medical records management. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and uphold clinic standards. Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patientâs needs, including pediatric dentistry when applicable. Use dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses, procedures, and post-treatment instructions clearly to patients. Manage dental fabrication processes for crowns, bridges, or dentures as required using advanced dental technology. Ensure compliance with all health regulations and standards related to infection control, medical imaging, and patient privacy. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices by engaging in ongoing education and training. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral structures and related medical terminology. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles when working with children or adolescent patients. Ability to implement infection control protocols effectively within clinical settings. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while providing comprehensive treatment options. Knowledge of medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance requirements for safeguarding patient information.
