Dental Assistant II (DA II) – Expanded Functions Full-Time | Richmond, VA Greater Richmond Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant II (DA II) to join our growing, patient-centered practice. If you are a Virginia-registered DA II with expanded-function training and a commitment to excellent patient care, we would love to meet you. Compensation & Schedule $24–$30 per hour , based on experience and certifications Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday About the Role As a DA II, you will play a key clinical role supporting high-quality patient care while contributing to a collaborative and efficient team environment. Responsibilities Perform expanded functions as permitted by Virginia law under appropriate supervision, including: Coronal polishing Application of sealants and fluoride Taking and pouring impressions Fabricating and cementing temporary crowns Placing matrices and rubber dams Assisting in restorative procedures Other reversible intra-oral procedures permitted for DA II Additional responsibilities: Take digital radiographs (with valid certification) Provide excellent chairside assistance and patient communication Prepare operatories and maintain sterilization and infection-control protocols Support clinical team flow and scheduling efficiency Assist with inventory organization and supply management Mentor and support team members as needed Qualifications Virginia Dental Assistant II (DA II) registration – required Completion of a Virginia Board–approved expanded-functions program – required Virginia Radiation (X-ray) certification – required CPR certification – required DANB CDA or equivalent preferred but not required Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Team-oriented, reliable, and patient-focused Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Competitive compensation Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for continuing education and growth Why Join Us?
