Benefits: Bonus based on performance Competitive salary Free uniforms 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discounts Paid time off The Position Available is FULL TIME Hours are as Follows: Mondays - Thursdays 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Fridays 8:00 am - 12:00 noon Appointment times for patients are as follows: Standard Hygiene Appt - 50 min Child Hygiene Appt - 30 min New Patient Appt - 60 min Job Summary: The RDH is in a special position to provide our patients the most important health service: ongoing preventive oral care by cleaning, scaling and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease. The RDH is also the primary patient educator and trust-builder in the office. Essential Duties: Provides customer service support to patients by escorting them to and from the treatment room. Educates patients on the importance of oral health, preventive care, disease processes, the role of bacteria; provides appropriate education. Educates patients on the various options to include the “MOST MEDICALLY CORRECT” to treat their oral conditions. Properly schedules patients for preventative and periodontal treatment based on patient's need and the practice's goals Takes radiographs and intra-oral photographs as needed and as directed by the doctor. Records evaluation of periodontal conditions to ensure a complete diagnosis and proper treatment plan by the dentist. Inspects patient’s oral cavity and charts lesions, existing restorations and missing teeth. Evaluates gingival health and health of all oral tissue. Performs oral cancer exam on all patients. Assists doctor during clinical exam and records findings and recommendations. Implements and monitors recall system; contacts patients who are overdue for a recall. Helps fill the patient schedule when there are openings to keep production levels high each day. Prepares all treatment rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilizing and sharpening all instruments, cleaning hand pieces and room, restocking supplies. Scales, polishes, and applies fluoride to patient’s teeth. Executes root-planing and laser treatments. Takes iTero scans as needed. Applies topical anesthetic agents. Administers injectable local anesthesia as needed for treatment or as directed by doctor. (when properly licensed) Administers Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen to patients as applicable under the supervision of a doctor.Places pit and fissure sealants. Removes excess cement from supragingival surfaces of teeth. Polishes restorations and appliances (partials, dentures, etc.).
