Responsibilities Perform a broad range of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and compassion. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans. Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care using effective dental terminology and strong patient communication skills. Maintain accurate, thorough dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure the highest standard of patient safety. Operate dental imaging equipment, including X-rays, and interpret findings to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Work closely with assistants and team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, including endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and dental fabrication techniques. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong focus on patient care, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for charting and record management. Strong knowledge of dental and medical terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and dental imaging procedures. Experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery is highly desirable. Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and dental documentation requirements. Ability to confidently perform extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic procedures, and other complex treatments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to educate and build trust with patients.
