Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Edmonds, WA

Join a comprehensive, airway-focused dental and orthodontic practice where we take a different approach to patient care. We are seeking a high-level dental assistant with orthodontic experience to support advanced treatment focused on airway, facial development, and long-term health. This is not a traditional assisting role â we are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to be part of a more advanced, patient-centered model of care. Responsibilities Assist with orthodontic and airway-focused treatment , including expanders, functional appliances, straightwire, clear aligners Prepare for and assist with appliance delivery and adjustments Take digital scans and comprehensive diagnostic records (CBCT, photos, impressions) 3D print models and appliances Assist the doctor with K7 diagnostic scans (training provided) Perform rhinometry and pharyngometry assessments (training provided) Present treatment plans and help guide patients through care decisions Maintain efficient clinical flow and anticipate doctor needs Provide clear patient and parent education on appliances, home care, and treatment expectations Ensure proper sterilization, organization, and operatory setup Requirements Orthodontic experience REQUIRED Strong understanding of clinical flow and chairside efficiency Excellent communication skills with both adults and children Comfortable discussing treatment with patients and families Able to work independently and confidently manage patients from start to finish Organized, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative Bonus Experience (Not Required) Clear aligner experience Treatment presentation / case presentation experience Airway-focused orthodontics TMJ or neuromuscular dentistry Experience with expanders or functional appliances 3D printing experience iTero or other digital scanner experience Basic knowledge of myofunctional therapy Join a comprehensive, airway-focused dental and orthodontic practice where we take a different approach to patient care.
