Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Office Assistant to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive experience from check-in to check-out Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including new patient intake and follow-up visits Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and perform insurance verification to maximize benefits for patients Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication Maintain accurate dental records, update patient information, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical billing processes, including coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and medical coding standards Support office management tasks such as filing, organizing medical records, managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like Meditech or Athenahealth, and ensuring documentation review accuracy Perform administrative duties such as data entry with 10-key typing skills, scheduling appointments efficiently, and managing correspondence Experience Previous experience in a dental or medical front office setting is highly preferred, especially with dental clinic experience or healthcare administrative support Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing practices Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix is essential Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), clinic management software (Eaglesoft preferred), and health information management tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or hospital experience that demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dental care while providing outstanding administrative support.
