Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Midway, GA
MUST HAVE DENTAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE, AT LEAST 2 YEARS IN GENERAL DENTISTRY. Pay based on experience We are open Monday-Thursday 8AM-3PM. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including crown and bridge (Cerec), fillings, extractions, root canals - Take and record patients' vital signs - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental X-rays - Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic medical record systems - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Assist with some dental lab tasks, including taking impressions - Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience - Knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and dental procedures - Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and operating CAD/CAM systems - Familiarity with electronic medical record systems - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique - Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care - Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from the dentist Preferred Skills: - Experience with patient assessment and triage - Knowledge of dental insurance billing and coding procedures -Bilingual in Spanish, not required Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for this position.
