Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant , with EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) certification preferred , to join our team. The ideal candidate will have opportunity to learn new skills and is detail-oriented, a team player, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort Perform expanded functions (for EFDA-certified candidates), including placing restorations and sealants Maintain accurate patient records and charting Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Follow all OSHA and infection control protocols Participate in training and continuing education Additional responsibilities as delegated by Dentist and Office Manager Qualifications Dental assisting experience required (1+ year preferred) EFDA certification strongly preferred Radiology certification required (per state regulations) CEREC trained preferred Knowledge of dental software (EagleSoft experience is a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience PTO (paid time off) Bonus Program Retirement plan with IRA/401(k) matching Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth and continued education Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Cerec: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Required) Work Location: In person
