Overview We’re a private, single-doctor dental practice located in the Corporate Lakes leasing offices, and we’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Conduct vital signs monitoring and medical imaging as necessary. Assist in chairside procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dental terminology, and the importance of regular dental visits. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments. Utilize EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and patient management. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to provide the best care possible. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license: Kansas Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating independence when necessary. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
