Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Venice, FL

We are looking for an experienced dental assistant who takes pride in their work, understands dentistry at a high level, and wants to be an integral part of a well-run clinical team. Position Overview This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking a highly skilled dental assistant with 5+ years of experience who is comfortable assisting in all phases of general dentistry and can anticipate provider needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, detail-oriented, and understands how to support both the doctor and the patient throughout complex procedures. Responsibilities Assist chairside in all general dental procedures, including: Crown & bridge (prep, temporization, delivery) Extractions and surgical procedures Implant restorations and basic surgical setups Endodontic procedures Removable prosthodontics (partials, dentures, try-ins, deliveries) Digital workflows (iTero scanning preferred) Maintain proper isolation, suction, and retraction for optimal clinical outcomes Anticipate doctor needs and ensure efficient procedure flow Take high-quality diagnostic radiographs Perform accurate impressions (PVS, alginate, digital) Fabricate provisionals and assist with adjustments Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols Prepare and break down operatories efficiently Communicate clearly with patients regarding procedures and post-op instructions Assist with lab cases, case organization, and material management Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of dental assisting experience (required) Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures and workflow Experience with digital dentistry (iTero or similar) preferred Ability to fabricate high-quality temporaries independently Proficient in radiographs and infection control standards Excellent communication and patient management skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment What Weâre Looking For Someone who cares about dentistry , not just the job Strong clinical instincts and attention to detail Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude Takes initiative and ownership of their role Comfortable working with doctors who hold a high clinical standard Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Full-time benefits package including: Medical, vision, and life insurance 401(k) Paid time off & holidays Free dental care (lab fees only) Continuing education and growth opportunities Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 â 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Continuing education credits Disability insurance Employee discount Employee mentoring program Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Paid training Profit sharing Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
