Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team Monday - Thursday. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will support the dentist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and help maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and operatories
- Maintain internal lab and track outside lab cases
- Take dental x-rays, intra-oral images, scans, CBCT (training available)
- Monitor accurate patient records/consent forms
- Reaffirm doctor’s recommended treatment and post-treatment care to patients
- Manage patient relationships and daily patient flow
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assistant certification
- Previous experience in a dental office is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Proficiency with dental software is a plus
