Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software (Dentrix) Verify insurance coverage and benefits. Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including collecting payments and updating medical records Maintain accurate documentation review of patient charts, care plans, and medical history within software Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and managing inquiries Assist with medical billing and collections and follow-up on outstanding balances Keep all patient records organized and up-to-date while adhering to HIPAA regulations for health information management Support office management tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies Qualifications Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key typing) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical administrative support tasks Previous clinic or hospital experience is highly desirable to understand healthcare workflows and medical billing procedures but willing to train the right fit.
