Our pediatric dental practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced dental assistant to provide support to our dentist and hygienist, and high-quality dental care to our patients. Our ideal candidate has 2 or more years of dental practice experience, enjoys working with children, and has a strong commitment to teamwork. Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly Responsibilities: Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patientsâ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team Taking radiographs as prescribed by the dentist. Accurately charting and treatment planning based on the Dr's recommendations. Assisting in the delivery of nitrous oxide administration, oral sedation, and general anesthesia procedures. Qualifications: Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant Coronal polishing certification is preferred BLS/CPR certification is preferred About Company We are a state-of-the-art Pediatric Dental Office located in Providence Hospital. Our practice sees a high volume of patients, with procedures ranging from routine checkups and cleanings to sealants, stainless steel crowns, and fillings.
