Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Tumwater, WA

Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Take and develop dental x-rays - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic - Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including CAD/CAM technology Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a dental assistant program or relevant work experience - Current CPR certification - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficient in medical documentation and coding practices - Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic, is a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
