Job Overview Anchor Dental is seeking a part time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental practice! We are looking for someone who is personable, motivated and committed to providing a comfortable experience to our wonderful patients. You will have the ability to grow in our practice, and make the hygienist role and department tailored to your needs and desires. Hours are flexible, seeking someone willing to work Tuesdays but other days of the week also possible. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Assist dentists in various procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Take medical imaging, such as X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans. Review medical coding for procedures performed to ensure proper billing and insurance claims. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient assistance during procedures. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform medical imaging accurately and efficiently. Competence in patient assessment, including identifying potential dental issues. Understanding of general dentistry practices and procedures.
