Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Phoenix, AZ

Job Summary Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a part of a Fee For Service Private Practice providing high end oral healthcare to patients with multidisciplinary needs. In this role, you will support doctors during patient procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and deliver a high quality experience for every patient. If you thrive in a detail focused and complex environment (this is not a family practice patient-mill) and are interested in training to advanced levels of dentistry (including Ortho, Perio, OS, Endo, and Prosth), this position may be what you've been looking for. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists chairside during various treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Take dental X-rays (Including Pano and CBCT) to assist in accurate diagnosis. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Provide patient education and post-treatment care instructions. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, communicating with vendors and labs, managing inventory and placing supply orders, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Qualifications MUST be either X-Ray certified OR obtaining certification within a couple weeks of start date. Proven experience in dental assisting, however we are willing to train exceptional applicants with other tangible skills. Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with dental coding and records management is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and intra-oral scanners confidently. Strong understanding of dental procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and coordinate with team members.
