Responsibilities Lead and coordinate chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Supervise and mentor dental assistants to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practices in aseptic technique and infection control Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Open Dental to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding Assist with patient intake by taking vital signs, medical history, and performing X-ray imaging using advanced equipment like 3D scanners when necessary Support the dental team with administrative duties including scheduling, patient communication, and maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Oversee the proper use of medical imaging tools and ensure all radiographs meet safety standards while supporting pediatric dentistry needs Ensure clinical areas are organized, sterile, and compliant with OSHA standards; implement infection control protocols consistently across the practice Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory or lead roles in dental clinics Proficiency in EMR systems such as Open Dental; familiarity with medical documentation and medical records management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and vital signs monitoring Experience operating X-ray equipment and performing medical imaging procedures safely for both adults and children Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values excellence in patient care while fostering professional growth.
